COVID-19
EU Digital COVID Certificate
The easiest way to prove your infection safety is with an EU Digital COVID Certificate. All EU member states except those from San Marino and the Vatican are able to download the certificate. If you have this and meet any of the following requirements, congratulations, you’re all set!
For all Estonians, you can download the certificate from the digital registry. The official EU certificate was released on 1 July so if you have an older version that was created locally for Estonians, please download the newer EU version in advance. For reference, the correct version says “EU Digital Covid Certificate” and has an EU flag on it. The older invalid certificate is titled “Vaccination certificate” and has an Estonian coat of arms on it.
Conditions for entering the venue with an EU Digital Certificate:
Ϟ If you’re fully vaccinated, at least 7-15 days have to have passed since your second dose. The period depends on your vaccine. For Pfizer/BioNTech maximum efficiency is reached after 7 days, the period for AstraZeneca is 15 days and for Moderna and Johnson & Johnson, the period is 14 days;Ϟ If you have recovered from COVID-19 within the past 6 months, you will be able to enter regardless of whether you have received a supportive vaccine dose or not.
If you’re coming from abroad, please also read through potential quarantine requirements on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Website even if you’re fully vaccinated. Before entering the country, you’ll also have to fill in the Traveller’s questionnaire up to three days before arriving in Estonia.
If you don’t have an EU Digital COVID Certificate
If you’re coming from a country outside the EU and have been fully vaccinated, we’ll accept your home country’s vaccination certificate. If this is the case, please let us know in the infection safety form below by choosing "other" and typing in the country of origin for your certificate. We strongly encourage you to get vaccinated if possible. We understand there are people who are unable to do so, but all the more, please protect yourself so we as a community can protect others. For Estonians, you can book a time to get vaccinated via the digital registry or at a pharmacy here. Find more information about vaccinations against COVID-19 here.
Health & safety at the venue
In addition to everything mentioned above, we’ve set up lots of health & safety measures onsite for an added level of protection. Following the new standard at events, there will be hand disinfection stands across the venue both inside and out, as well as reusable and clinical masks available for those who want one. You’re welcome to bring your own as well. We strongly encourage you to use a mask when you’re indoors. We recommend downloading the HOIA app. With the HOIA mobile app, you can quickly find out about possible close contact with a COVID-19 infected person, allowing you to take steps to protect your own health and the health of others.
If you’re feeling ill or cannot otherwise make it to sTARTUp Day, all ticket types have full online access, which means you can make the most of everything we have to offer virtually. You’ll be able to watch all 4 stages live, matchmake, browse the virtual demo area and take part in virtual side-events from the comfort of your own home, anywhere in the world.
